Message From Matt Rogers
As we put the finishing touches on another year it seems hard to believe that we are coming on our 13th year in the Golf Cart business! While this year winds down I’d like to take a moment to look back on 2012 and a look forward to 2013!
I want to thank all of our customers, vendors, and employee’s for making this another great year. Like every year in the past we saw positive growth in our overall business and double-digit growth in our parts and service department! To start the year we decided it was time to make the investment into a new inventory and point of sale software system. Like most new things we had a few bugs to work out but once we had it down, this new software helped us become more efficient and better organized allowing us to better serve our customers.
Along with a new and improved software system, we also added two very knowledgeable men to the RMI staff. Steve Horne and Rick Abbott bring with them tremendous knowledge of golf cars and parts! If you’ve ever called in looking for some advice or guidance on your cart, you know doubt have talked to one of these guys!
2012 also brought the arrival of some new and exciting products and models to the RMI show room! E-Z-GO with the introduction of the revamped utility (Terrain) product offerings along with its new Shuttle series, and Yamaha with their launch of the first ever fuel injected gas powered golf car. I would encourage anyone who hasn’t had a chance to test drive any of these products to stop by our showroom and take a ride. You won’t be disappointed!
2013 gets off to a fast start for us. The start of the year is always show season and like years past you can find us exhibiting at some really great shows again this year. Jan 10 -13 we’ll be at the Kansas City Sports and Boat Show at Bartle Hall. Jan 17 – 13 we’ll be exhibiting in the RV Show at Bartle Hall. Jan 24 -27 we’ll be at the Overland Park Boat Show located at the Overland Park convention center. And finally in we are exhibiting in two more great shows in February. We’ll be doing the Farm show at the American Royal and the Golf Show at the Overland Park convention center. Both of these take place Feb 22-24. All of these shows are great for families if you are looking for an outing this winter!
Finally, I’d like to close with an exciting announcement. I’m pleased to announce that RMI Golf Carts will be opening up a 2nd location in Parkville Missouri March 1st! We will have plenty more news and details about this new store but we are extremely excited to better serve our customers in the Northern parts of the metro!
